a new way of being.
Before becoming a life coach Roberta enjoyed a very successful 25+ year career in human resources. Fifteen of those years were spent as the founder/managing partner of Roberta Brenner Associates, Inc., a recognized executive search firm.
As she was approaching her 50th birthday Roberta realized that while on the outside it looked like she had it all, on the inside she felt like she was falling apart. Overloaded and stressed on a daily basis, she felt as though her life was running her as opposed to the reverse. She had lost her passion for the work she once loved and sensed there was more meaningful work she could be doing. She felt the need to get in touch with herself and the purpose of her life moving forward.
Leaving a successful career was a difficult decision, but absolutely the right one for Roberta. It was the beginning of a seven-year personal journey that changed her life forever. Self-discovery and self-care became her main focus. Her health became a priority and she began to study yoga and meditation, which have remained constants in her life ever since. Always interested in women’s health, wellness and aging issues, she became certified as a Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant by the American Council on Exercise, and as a Personal Fitness Trainer by Marymount College. To enrich her practice of meditation she completed a professional training in mindfulness meditation with Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. But it wasn’t until she attended the Coaches Training Institute that all the pieces fell into place and she realized what she was meant to do.
Today, after making a series of life-enhancing changes (which she gladly shares with her clients), Roberta says she is at the best place of her life—mind, body, and spirit. She is living a healthy, balanced and fulfilling life that honors her values and priorities. As chief catalyst of LifeLift for Women she is dedicated to helping other women get to their best places.
